Born at Pat O'Brien's bar in New Orleans during World War II, the Hurricane is a rum powerhouse disguised as fruit punch. Two rums, passion fruit, citrus, and grenadine create a storm in a glass that is stronger than it tastes.

• Light rum4 cl
• Dark rum4 cl
• Fresh lime juice3 cl
• Orange juice3 cl
• Passion fruit syrup2 cl
• Grenadine1 cl

1. 1Fill a shaker with ice.
2. 2Add light rum, dark rum, lime juice, orange juice, passion fruit syrup, and grenadine.
3. 3Shake hard until well chilled.
4. 4Strain into a Hurricane glass over fresh ice.
5. 5Garnish with an orange slice and a maraschino cherry.
