A Cuban classic from the Prohibition era, named for Cuban presidents. Aged rum, dry vermouth, orange curaçao and a hint of grenadine — stirred, amber-hued and deeply elegant.

• White or aged rum4.5 cl
• Dry vermouth1.5 cl
• Orange curaçao1 cl
• Grenadine1 dash
• Orange peelto garnish

1. 1Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice.
2. 2Stir for 30 seconds until cold and well-diluted.
3. 3Strain into a chilled coupe glass.
4. 4Express an orange peel over the surface and use as garnish.
