Created by Andy MacElhone at Harry's New York Bar, Paris, in 1960. Vodka, blue curaçao and lemonade — impossibly blue, tropical and unapologetically fun. The cocktail equivalent of a summer poster.

• Vodka3 cl
• Blue curaçao3 cl
• Lemonadeto top
• Lemon slice and cherryto garnish

1. 1Fill a highball glass with ice cubes.
2. 2Pour in the vodka and blue curaçao.
3. 3Top with cold lemonade.
4. 4Stir gently once.
5. 5Garnish with a lemon slice and a maraschino cherry.
