Named after the 1922 Rudolph Valentino bullfighting film. Equal parts scotch, cherry liqueur, sweet vermouth and orange juice — one of the rare scotch cocktails that actually works, and works beautifully.

• Scotch whisky3 cl
• Cherry Heering liqueur3 cl
• Sweet red vermouth3 cl
• Fresh orange juice3 cl

1. 1Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice.
2. 2Shake for 12 seconds.
3. 3Double strain into a chilled coupe glass.
4. 4Garnish with an orange twist and a cherry.
